Dr Francis Pitard, an international sampling consultant, presented a two day workshop on Poisson Process in Sampling. The workshop was attended by 54 delegates from around the world.

Thirty three papers were presented at WCSB4 on a wide range of sampling topics and a printed version of the proceedings in colour was made available to all delegates at registration. Conference delegates represented 22 countries from Africa, Australasia, Canada, Europe, North, Central and South America and Russia.
